Elemica Acquires ElastomerSolutions Marketplace

Elemica, a global neutral network founded by the world's leading chemical companies to enable efficient contract buying and selling of chemical products, has announced the acquisition of the ElastomerSolutions marketplace. Through the acquisition, six ElastomerSolutions founders will become new members of Elemica. The companies signing new agreements are: Cabot Corporation, Uniroyal Chemical, DuPont Dow Elastomers, Flexsys, PolyOne Corporation and Zeon Chemicals. Bayer and DSM, two founders of ElastomerSolutions, are already Elemica members Elemica's 22 investors include Air Products and Chemicals, ATOFINA, BASF, Bayer, BP, Brenntag, Celanese, CHEMCENTRAL, Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Degussa, The Dow Chemical Company, DSM, DuPont, Millennium Chemicals, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, Mitsui Chemicals, Rhodia, Rohm and Haas, Shell, Solvay, Sumitomo Chemical and Vopak. The marketplace provides an integrated procurement solution, including negotiations through to logistics and after-sales processes.
